First of all, they started the year off by sponsoring several booths at the annual Fall Festival. Then they visited Moundville, a historic indian village. After that they hiked a nature trail at Oak Mountain State Park and raised money to send Bibles to Central America to help spread God's Word. Another highlight ofthe year was All Creatures Great and Small Day where they all dressed up as different ani- mals for their special p gram. On that same c they toured a museum natural history in Annist One more thing that help the year pass quickly v Grandparents Day wh: all the childrens grandp ents came and visited the day. The main eve that ended the yer though, was Field Day. 'I was a day full of all sorts fun. All these things definit made the year fly. This was the great land rush , the big event of the fourth grade s Frontier Day. Students rushed from the Oklahoma State Llne with covered wagons filled with everything you could possi- bly need to set up pioneer housekeeping - rakes, hoes, guns, blankets, buck- ets ahd Bibles. Frontier Day was only one of the fourth grade's special days. They also took a trip to Montgomery, where they ,N-sf GR D and the home ot Jeffers Davis, and had their pictui taken with Governor G Hunt.
