Most students at SMCS took these events for granted. The junior high Christmas party included time for socializing with friends, eating, and watching the Christmas movie A Miracle on Thirty- Fourth Street. Members of the senior high were able to partici- pate in a day at Oak Moun- tain State Park, where they played volleyball, ate hot dogs and went on a hay- ride. Seventh grader Sheryl Tuck- er, a representative of Mrs. Stone's class said, We ac- complished a lot by spend- ing time together discussing our concerns and strate- gies.
