lt's 7:00 Friday night. School's out for the week- end, and you have some spare time on your hands, so you decide to work on your homework that is due on Monday, right? Wrong! Fri- day nights were meant for having fun, and SMCS stu- dents knew exactly how to do that. ' Many spent the night at ci friends house and rented some movies or even went out to a movie with a date Gt they happened to come upon a small fortune, that isj. Others like junior Robert Atkinson and sophomore Lance Williams spent time students y s HO0L'S playing video games at Putt-Putt. And some were like sophomore Clint Simp- son, who went wher- ever there is a party. Friday and Saturday nights weren't the only times to have fun, though. Wednesday nights brought church youth group meet- ings and many like seniors Shana Wise and Amy Rod- gers went to Dairy Queen, where they could eat ice cream and just have fun. Others stayed around after church just to talk to their friends while some of the guys played basketball in local gyms or took the op- portunity to practice on their skateboards We might have to take the side mirror off said sen lor Joe Seifert as he and many of his classmates tried to push his car through the doors leading into the school hallway. They were constructively using the time after church to pull the sen- ior prank. Why sit around and waste time when there are so many people out there to meet? So many places to go and things to do? Follow the examples of these stu- dents and you will create memories that last forever. is if f ' ' 1? f ' ' f After church, sophomore Shelley Wester and Tom Humphrey, ShelIey'S friend from the Slvll youth group, spend time at Dairy Queen
