gums naman nuuNTAiNCiR5 COACHES Harrington and Murphy Coach Barrington, in his first year at Shades Cahaba, has done a remarkable job with the football team, junior high basket- ball team, and the track team. Coach Barrington is a fine spirited man and a great hustler. Coach Murphy, who hails from Green- wood, Miss., has proven to be a very great asset to our head coach. His fine work with the buckshots has been remarkable. In his outstanding work with both the buckshots and junior baseball team, he is making future stars at Shades Cahaba. EUU TY EHAMPIU 5 COACH MITCHELL Coach Piggy Mitchell through his excellent coaching has Won the county championship for the fifth time in fourteen years. His team in basketball won the county championship for the second straight year. The baseball team entered the county playoff for the 10th time in his 14 years. His work as a body and character builder even surpasses his great coaching ability. Here's our tribute to a great coach and a good friend to all. Raleigh B. Kent, Jr. Left Guard, R. B, Kent is shown above with the Shades Valley Sun trophy awarded to the most valuable player at Shades Cahaba this year. R. B was voted by his teammates for his great defensive play and aggressiveness. This trophy was presented by Coach Mitchell at the football banquet. 1
