The Homecoming program with a parade and dance was one of the First jobs undertaken. A Fire-rally and a dance before the Eastern game were also under the Councills supervision. An outstanding accomplishment of the group was the European Relief Drive through which our school contributed to the support of FIVE schools in Finland. The Council also had charge of registering all vehicles which are driven to school. It sponsored many fine assembly programs of interest from both the educational and recrea- tional angle. Bates, Wilkins, Miss Lawry Ist Row: Lind, Heimonen, Sailor, Johnson, Whitney, Gray, Louckes, Wiley, Carlton In the second semester, the Student Council again worked hard for the betterment of the school. The problem of noon recreation for both boys and girls was one of the things the group took under consideration. For future elections of council oilicers, the Council secured permission from the city to use the regular voting machines. The Council voted generous financial support to this year's Oracle. During this semester the Council secured various groups for assembly programs, chartered busses for out-of-town games, took charge of pep assemblies and worked on assembly programs for next fall. Again Student Council officers attended the 5-A conference. Sexton High School students are proud of the achievements of their Student Council.
