, A S l me exif Principal 1918 -1943 lt is with a deep appreciation of his loyalty, friendliness, and service that the students of the J, W. Sexton High School remember Charles E, LeFurge. .To his colleagues he was known as an able administrator, to the pupils and alumni of Central l-ligh he was at all times a true friend and a wise counselor. During his many years as principal of Central he guided the course of unknown hundreds, directing their lives into useful channels, l-lis life was dedicated to the elevation of school standards, and to this end he gave untiringly of his sound judgment and vast experience. With attention and interest glowing in his eyes, he would listen to the confidences and problems of the students and faculty, attempting at all times to formulate an agreement suitable to everyone concerned, Although he had been in poor health for many months before his death, he took great pleasure in the planning of our new building. There can be no finer memorial to lvlrs l.eFurge than the fine spirit of friendliness and cooperation which he has left with us at Sexton High. Page Four
