s lune Daniel. Future Homemakers of America he Kowalski. xtltlkllf. The Seward Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America presented the Emblem Service at the State Conven- tion in Anchorage. While at the convention, they received a first place award for their name tags that were designed by Kim Campbell. Some of the activities that the F. H. A. were involved in were acting as hostesses for Career Day and the Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner, and making and selling sandwiches during several of the school lunch hours to earn money to pay for their trip to Anchorage to the convention. Not pictured: Camille Stephens and Secretary Rosa Business Club The Seward lligh School Business Club promotes activities which reinforce knowledges, understandings, and skills which are developed in the business classes. Students who have had typing and have had or are taking another business subject are eligible for membership. Also. those first-year typing students who rank high at the end of the third quarter may be invited to join the club. During the N72-73 school year. four mem- bers ol' the Club took part in the State Business Contests held in Wasilla. Tara jones placed second in the Ten-key Adding Nlaehine. fourth in llookkeeping and received honorable men- tion in Spelling and Typing Il. Paul Iiaeklund tied for third in Typing I and Virginia llaquil received honorable mention in Typing ll and Spelling.
