Library Language Department Reading is a wide-spread source for elementary and advanced procurement of knowledge, as well as for ex- treme enioyment. An extensive library is an asset to a school, and its control, expansion and foundation rest on the foresight and intelligence of the members of its staff. Recent advances in communication and transporta- tion, which have brought the peoples of the world into a more integral relationship, have placed a premium upon the mastering of a foreign language. The Lan- guage Department has made it possible to learn Latin, German, French and Spanish. For the understanding and appreciation of a foreign culture, language study is encouraged and is frequently included as a prereq- uisite for college. SITTING: Mrs. Z.
