safety council, stop, look, listen stage crew is on the scene the safety council, dedicated to enforcing school safety rules, was one of the schoo1's most noteworthy and neces- sary organizations. each morn- ing the squad on duty could be seen standing out on the school corner supervising the flow of traffic through the driveway. they also patroled the lava- tories between classes. mr. roger willis was the advisor fat rightj. the officers are bob kirkland, captain, and lieutenants sue phelps, marty hopper, ellen thompson, jim larson, john shepherd, bob hogan, bruce hasfurther, and joan slack. the stage crew played a large part in scenery construction for plays and also worked the light and sound systems for assemblies and other productions. among other projects this year, the members of stage crew worked hard in collaboration with the dramatics club on their productions. without the cooperation of the stage crew, our school would be unable to have many of the activities we now enjoy. V the officers are seated in the front row and include sheldon white, president, john white, vice-presidentg louise bowersox, secretary, and Zack schelhaus, treasurer. mr. daniel higgs is the advisor. 185

audio visual aids provides necessary service audio visual aids is a school service. the majority of the mem- bers are interested in the operation of equipment and learning about the audio visual media. the audio visual aids are in charge of getting materials to classrooms and arrang- ing to secure films, tapes and rec- ords. mr. roger Willis is the club advisor. Zachary schlehaus is presi- dent. fire brigade insures the safety of the student body during the fire drills in school, the boys in the fire brigade monitor the halls, thus aiding in the quick evacuation of the school. the members of the iire brigade are taught what to do in case of fire and are on call at any time to aid or extinguish a fire. mr. robert ruck is the club advisor. john evans is president.

student librarians assist in Work the library is growing more each year. two new additions are the microfilm machine and the copy machine. by using the microfilm machine, students can read magazines or important news articles from past issues on film. the copy machine duplicates pages out of books and almost anything else for students and teachers. through these two machines and the addition of more books, the severna park high school library is making the process of learning easier and more enjoyable for the student body. f 1 it ml school store is a eonvience for students the school store is a convenience provided for the students and carries a wide variety of school supplies including paper, pencils, erasers, and a blessing to those with colds, 5 4: packs of kleenex. this year, a portable showcase counter was bought which enabled the school store to be located in the main entrance by the cafeteria before school and during lunch periods.
