fbla sponsors successful spaghetti dinner the severna park chapter of the future business leaders of america develops competent business leaders and tries to create an interest and a better understanding about business occupations p and techniques. this year fbla sponsored a spaghetti dinner and a candy sale, and also they made an r annual contribution to the library. the ibla members hope to attend their national con- vention which will be held in dallas, texas in the summer of 1969. the officers pictured at right in- clude from left to right, sue jacob- son, presidentg beverly tryon, first vice-presidentg doris schriefer, second vice-presidentg jo ann szyzepanik, treasurerg lois glaser, secretaryg kathy weber, reporterg and sandy layne, historian. mrs. lena clemmer serves as the advisor. fha attends regional meeting the future homemakers of america is a club to help make girls better homemakers. in today's fast paced and often frantic world, a cool and com- petent homemaker is a basic necessity to keep her family on a steady course. this year severna park high school's chapter of fha attended their regional and state conferences. the club picture at right was taken at their regional conference at northeast high school. the officers pictured below are president, sandra pulley Knot presentjg vice-president, linda markeyg secretary, debbie hensong and treasurer, burma lee manns. mrs. frances middleton serves as club advisor. impulse provides outlet for creative talents during the entire school year f JJ-'93-M A- the members of impulse, the school's literary magazine, offer the students a media for their l creative talents. then, selecting the best prose, short stories, poems, plays, and art work, they incorporate these into their annual publication. thus, im- pulse gives the student body an opportunity to appreciate the creative talents of their fellow classmates. the editors are at right, standing in the front row. they include jim gossard, editor-in-chiefg Vickie beard and becky fellows, poetry editors, prose editor, bill mcclayg art editors, bill smith and jim parrang and busi- ness manager, ginny sells. mr. jean- paul roberge advises the impulse staff. O li O C ll the photography club tries to instill in its members a genuine appreciation for the photographic world around him, to instruct the students in the basic skills of photography, and to inform students of the varied fields of photography. the major activity of this club is the miss severna park high school pageant which raises funds to purchase equipment and films, and an educational field trip to a professional studio in new york. mrs. aileen warner is the club advisor. the officers are standing in the back row and include jan ostrowski, president, cheryl morris, vice-president, and sandy lane, secretary. the treasurer, eric moseson, is standing on the far right as he had just run back to be present in the picture after setting his camera on a timed mechanism to take this picture. 177
