The six best answers to the examination held at the beginning ofthe Christmas term were written by VV. Palmer, D. Cleveland, H. Scott, D. Blaiklock, C. Stairs, and F. Gurd. It was difficult to name the prize-winner, but Hnally Palmer was selected. All boys who sat for the paper and satisfied the examiner were rewarded in the usual manner by being given a half-holiday.
