This impressive scoring record rated the Viks as the second highest scoring team in the valley and gave us second place in our league. This proved to be our best season since 1959. individual statistics show Wiseman as lead- ing ground gainer with 533 yards. Rick Fahey tallied 43 points. Bill Harlan 33, Rick Jennings 32, and Cecil Toney 23. In eight games, the leading tacklers were Gary Blaine with 50, John Jones 42, Joe Thomas 41, Verne Johnson 41, Rick Fahey 34, Gary Batey 30, Larry DeGarmo 30, Cecil Toney 29, and Ed Rittenberg 27. Selah posts a 33-O victory over Toppenish, the first of five seasonal shutouts for the Vikings.
