- Division QPGJY '- f S 4 1. I--74 MSSN Szugye I Commonly called the Food Service Division, S-2 is the true morale booster for the ship. With a total strength of fifty-eight enlisted men and a Supply Corps Officer, the division's main function is the preparation and serving of approximately 2.000 meals a day and the procurement and storage of subsistence items to support 680 personnel for 45 days. In addition, we are also responsible for the weekly ice cream social and steel beach picnics during underway. All Mess Management Specialists are profession- als striving hard to please everyone. Our day starts at least three hours prior to regular ships evolution and ends late in the evening. We are also tasked to provide reenlistment, retirement and other special occasion cakes, and provide the upkeep and cleanling of the officers' berthings. We keep everyone on the move by providing a varied, healthy, nutritious, and well-bal- anced meal whether it be from hot coffee in the morn- ing to gourmet food for special meals.
