PHYSICAL I Miss Glick Mr. ED U CA T10 NINETY-TWO girls partici- pated in a wide variety of sports in three classes of physical edu- cation. During the fall, the girls ventured outdoors to participate in field sports, such as soccer, field hockey, and speed-away. When the cold weather forced them inside, they enjoyed volley- ball, badminton, basketball, tumbling, and bowling. The Senior Leader program is for girls having above-average Skill and knowledge of the Sports - Miss Glick gives final instructions to her physical education The program provides these girls Class- an opportunity to further their leadership abilities' STRONG, co-ordinated, and skilled bodies were achievements of the Physical Education II and Steve Dillon demonstrates his ability on the parallel bars. IH boys . The boys participated in speedball, volleyball, tennis, softball, and other vigorous ac- tivities. Boys who showed an interest in physical education be- came Senior Leaders, if they passed the following three re- quirements: Qlj scoring in the upper 202, of the nation in the Physical Fitness Test, Q25 re- ceiving a B in the preceding semester of physical education, Q35 getting along with others. 24

VOCA T10 AL ARTS A CHANGING World with its new needs must be reflected in our offer- ings if they are to be useful. Seaman M students are fortunate to have a Well rounded curriculum for present and future needs in the vocational arts department. The home economics curriculum has a new 1964 look as a result of its cor- relation With home economic offerings at Northern Hills junior High. Six semesters of advanced Work in separ- ate fields give choice and breadth in the home economics field at Seaman. The vocational arts department also offers agriculture, shop, electricity, industrial arts, mechanical drawing, building trades, and trade and indust- ry. mp..--a--H Miss Cox aids future homemakers with a sewing project She and Mrs. Rhea comprise the members of the Home Ec. Department. The carpentry class finally finishes the outside of their house. Mr. Kugler Mr. Smith instructs Jerry Morgan in F. F. A. class. 23 K- Mechanical drawings must be very precise. Mr. I-loch explains as he checks Kenny Everett's work.
