CLOSING THE DOOR- YET MEMORIES LINGER — oo At 8:20 each morning another day has just begun to be recorded in the annals of Seagrove High School. The crowded halls, the bustling of students, and the tension and excitement of a sports event are just a few images in the pag- eantry of our school. It is such reflections from such an important segment of our lives which | hope you will find captured beneath the covers of the SE-HI. As you know, this is the last year the SE-HI will be published. It has been my wish to go out with a bang. The SE-HI staff has worked to make this last annual the best ever. It is for this great effort that | would like to thank each member of the staff. | would also like to express a special thanks to our adviser, Miss Pinion, and to all the people who made an effort to cooperate. As we close the door on the collection of memories we call Seagrove High School, let us look forward to the new school next year, to college, to a life career, and to happiness. Yet, as we close the door and advance further along the path of life, let us leave room in our hearts for memories of the place where we lived together, laughed together, and wept together. Your Editor, Dale McKee

The Principal’s Message Much is being said about the opening of a new school and our students that will be going to it. We wish to stress here that we are not losing our school, for the = school is our school as Seagrove is our school. This is a landmark event in that we are growing, and this makes us a part of a larger community. Moving into a new building is no reason to stop saying our school. It is a cause for increased pride not only because of the progress but also because of the opportunities afforded for increased educational advantages and for making new friends. To the seniors we say that you represent us in whatever endeavors you undertake. We assure you that as your school record is complete and as it follows you into the work world, we will do our best to polish the bright spots brighter and hope that any gray spots will fade away. As you make your way in the life of the non-student, we wish that all the breaks be favorable to you. | G. E. Braswell
