The Seniors undoubtedly have grown to admire many of their teachers, because of the difficulty they had in de¬ termining the dedication of their annual. One person who has truly been an in¬ spiration to us is Mrs. Sugg. She daily survives the “click-click” of 40 type¬ writers. She is always there with that win¬ ning smile and pleasing personality. For her willingness to help us and her deep-kindled devotion, we the Senior Class take pride in dedicating the 1965 Se-Hi to Mrs. Phyllis Sugg. MRS. PHYLLIS SUGG A person who is always there, but seldom seen” is our county bus mechanic. For the past years he has gone above and beyond his required duties. He has won the respect and admiration of every¬ one including our principal, bus drivers, and the students. With a deep sense of pride and humil¬ ity we the senior class dedicate our 1965 Se-Hi to Mr. Edsel Needham. ) MR. EDSEL NEEDHAM As I sit here preparing the final shipment of the Se-Hi my mind wanders from one thought to another. Most vivid of all, I recall the day when I learned that I had been chosen Editor and the mixed feelings that quickly followed! I was quite happy and honored, to say the least; but, at the same time, a bit apprehensive. Having served as Asst. Editor during my junior year proved invaluable to me for I learned just what was required to edit an annual. Yes, I am Editor, but those who deserve the real credit are the ones who will never receive it. The various managers, sec¬ tion editors, and typists worked long and hard often to find that their work needed changes. With pride and determination they continued to the end product, the 1965 Se-Hi. May I express my most sincere thank-you ' s to the adminis¬ tration, faculty, annual staff, student body, sponsors, and especial¬ ly to Mrs. Auman for all their time and effort given in the pre- aration of this annual. As you read this annual, may you find within it highlights and fond memories of your high school days at “Ole S.H.S.” 0 v IMll? ' Vr ‘ M ■■■■ mm ■lib Administration OlM MR. GERALD BRASWELL He attended East Carolina College where he obtained his B.S. and M.A. degrees. During the four years that he has been our principal, the school as a whole has advanced rapidly. We moved along our chartered course For twelve exciting years, With teachers as our pilots - Mapping courses, calming fears. The first few years were full of fun For us, young sailors green, As we learned what made us go And mysteries still unseen. Then we moved along the way The last four years to go. We mastered all the knowledge That all good sailors know. Now, up in the crow ' s nest The sentry calls Land Ho! And all the Seagrove Seniors Know the time has come to go. We are especially proud that through the co-operation of those in our community, a new activity bus was purchased for the school’s use. Happy was the day when this addition arrived . . . just think . . . we’re the first to enjoy it. Let’s keep it as new as the day this picture was made. 134 fldtydtu titfttiOiv Pomute Co w vtutufij Scouts P 0 Ay$ Fttetufe CJumcJi P.T.SA CCubs 4-W 0200 0499T ;9 002401
