SENIOR SPONSORS Q7 M1ss Sandra Myers, 12 C Mrs Martha Shaffer 12 D Mr Harry Holton 12 B Faculty Cha1rman, Mr J W Gr1mes, 12 A SENIOR CLASS HISTORY It was a peaceful day September 1956 that we heard a loud cry com1ng from the good sh1p Scott H1gh School It was the same sh1p that had Cafrled many a passenger before us on a safe Journey of greater learn1ng Our f1rst Journey cons1sted of 220 passengers The capta1n was Mr E C Browne and h1s mates 1n charge of the freshmen Mr Harold Bond Mr Harry Holton, Mrs MHPCLUG Bradley Mrs Ruby Mays Mrs Eleanor Wxlhams, and Mrs Gladys Webb The head of the passengers was T R Barker, Pres1dent, Jack Holste1n, VICE Pres1dent Martha Mlller, Secretary 81 Treasurer, and Peggy B1rley H1stor1an The next fall after a three months shore leave, we embarked upon Sophomore Waters to f1nd a passen ger 11St of 202 The head of the passengers was Jack Holste1n Pres1dent Jerry Cook, VICE Pres1dent Sue Ann Bragg Secretary Nancy Rymer Treasurer and Peggy B1rley H1stor1an S1nce we were now more fam1l1ar w1th our Journey we selected a motto To Walk W1th K1ngs and Keep The Common Touch Our they were Nancy Rymer Carol Parks, Marsha Jackson, and Pat Harless The next fall after a three months shore leave, we embarked upon Jun1or Waters to f1nd a few passen gers m1ss1ng there were now 176 Our class off1cers were Jack Holste1n Pres1dent, Jerry Cook V1ce Pres1dent, Georg1a Myers Secretary Nancy Rymer, Treasurer, and Peggy B1rley H1stor1an Our new Captam was Mr C L Harbert H1s mates 1n charge of Jumors were Mrs Bradley Mrs Baker Mrs Shaffer, Mr Gr1mes and Mr Holton Those 1nducted 1nto the Nat1onal Honor SOC19ty were Bonn1e Elhs Nancy Rymer, T R Barker Ray Do11n, Juan1ta Copley Karen H111 AIICG Cabell Dorothy Marchensky Jenna Doss Jewel Elkms Nancy Ball and Georg1a Myers Mayorettes were Anna Blankenshlp Sue Bragg and Peggy B1rley Nancy Ball was one of the MISS Scottoman attendants The Jun1or play was F1nders Creepers d1rected by Mrs Maxlne Bradley After our usual three months shore leave, we embarked upon Sen1or Waters to f1nd that the passenger l1st cons1sted of 155 Our class off1cers were the same as our Jun1or year Our Student Counc1l members were Steve Jarv1s, Sue Bragg, Betty Young, Doug Harless, Martha Mlller Emory Brown1ng MHTIOH Greene and Terry Dav1s w1th Bruce H111 as Pres1dent Cand1dates for M1ss Skyhawk were Nancy Rymer Sue Bragg Nancy Ball Peggy B1rley, and Judy Mlller Nancy Ball was crowned MISS Skyhawk The Sen1or play The Skeleton Walks , was presented December 5 and was d1rected by M1ss Sandra Myers Peggy B1rley was chosen MISS Scottonlan and Sandra Z1egler was her seruor attendant Happy Landmgs' V ng .. my I I ' ' ' 1 ' ' 7 ' , ' 1 1 Q ' f ! : . , . .
