Fox Advisor Z716 Acropolis Staff dedicates the Organization Section of the I977 yearbook to . . . MRS. KATHERINE M. FOX for her fourteen years of service as Business Advi- sor for the Acropolis. During this time, the yearbook has grown from a book of 180 pages to its present size, This monumental task of collecting subscriptions and keeping her well-trained eye on the budget has made it possible for the Acropolis to publish a book for a nominal price. Mrs. Fox, a graduate of Baypath junior College in Springfield, Mass, received her Bacheloris and Masters degree from the University of the State of N. Y. at Al- bany. This june, she will have completed 37V2 years as a teacher and advisor at Scotia-Glenville High School. As a teacher in the Business Education Department, she has concentrated her extracurricular activities in that area. At various times, she has served as Business Mgr. of the Hi-Times, predecessor to The Tartan, advisor to the Business Education Club, and since its inception, Supervisor of the Student Ac- tivity Fund. Many of our graduates are indebted to Mrs. Fox for her supervision of the part- time office work experience program since she initiated the unit in 1951. The pro- gram enables students Who Wish to gain valuable pre-Career experience, to do so, on a part-time basis with local cooperating business firms. Mrs. Fox is looking forward to enjoying iibeing at home? part-time volunteer work, and brushing up on her bridge and golf games. Happy Retirement. Teacher Organizations fli-ll continues service activities Hi-Y members continued their practice of sell- ing soda at the basketball games and dances. A trip to Madison Square Garden in February to see the New York Knicks was part of the yeaBs pro gram. The Christmas tree in front of the office deco- rated by Hi-Y won first prize. A revision of the constitution and supporting :1 program to help the American Indians in the southwest was also part of the agenda. Pmident ..................... I loved a love once, fairest among women: Clojea' are her doom on me, I must not Jee her, a All, all are gone, the oldfamiliar faces. I have a friend, a hinder friend has no man: Like an ingrate, I left my friend ahraptly; Left him, to maxe on the oldfamiliar faces. Ghoyt-lz'he, I paced round the haunts of my childhood. Earth seemed a desert I way hound to traverse, Seeking to find the old familiar faces. Friend of my howm, thou more than a hrother, Why wert not thou ham in my fatherk dwelling? 50 might we talk of the oldfamz'lz'ar face: - How some they have died, and some they have left me, And some are taken from me; all are departed, a All, all are gone, the oldfamz'lz'ar faces.
