J AN UARY CLASS DEDICATION
To our good friend and advisor,
Louis Boyd, in appreciation of his sin-
cere assistance and guidance, wc dedi-
cate our portion of the 1941 Silhouette.

This class, numbering 50, entered Scieneeville High School on February
1, 1936. Miss Hawkins and Mr. Hoffmnster were the home room teachers the
lirst semester. Miss Mary Lupse and Mr. Miller were the home room teach-
ers the first semester. Miss Mary Lupse and Mr. Miller were the home room
teachers the second semester. The only events of the Freshman year were
home ruom programs.
In the Sophomore year there were 30 members enrolled in the class and
Miss Lupse was the home room teacher. Home room programs were con-
tinued and at the end of the school term a picnic was held at Mill Creek Park
in codperation with the Sophomore As
There were twenty-eight students enrolled in the Junior year. Mr. Boyd
was the advisor. The class officers were: President, Marlin Shephard; Vice-
President, Lucretia johnsun; Secretary and Treasurer, Caroline Traenkle.
Christmas cards and Easter eggs were sold to help sponsor the Junior-Senior
In the first semester of the Senior year we kept the same advisor and
officers. J11 April, the class presented the play, HShzldow of Terror," directed
by Miss Philomena Zzlppi, A picnic was held at Mill Creek Park in June.
In the second semester starting in September, 1940, new officers were
elected. President, Bill Cuwden; Vice President, Blanche Rosser; Recording
Secretary, Phyllis Deterding; Corresponding Secretary, Caroline Traenkle;
and Treasurer, Lucretia johnson. A skating party at Rayenwood Roller Rink
was sponsored in October. A formal banquet was held at the Dinner Bell
on January 15, 1941. An assembly program was given by the class 011 class
day, January 17. Baccalaureate was held on Sunday. January ,19th. Com-
mencement exercises were January 22. 1941.
