OUR years fly by tor busy, happy people and soon
another Senior Class will be slipping away from
Scienceville High School into the broader school of Life.
We of the faculty are sorry to see you leave, but happy
in your success in having completed the prescribed course
of the public schools. We congratulate you, and wish
for you all the very best things in life. May we express
a hope that you will align yourselves with the active
Alumni of the school and boost for the best interests of
your Alma Mater whenever occasion arises: that you
will call upon us when we may be of help to you: and
that through the years we may still work together for
the benefit of each other, our school and our community.
Life will hold many disillusions and disappointments.
Your detailed knowledge of history, science and mathe-
matics almost may be forgotten in the busy, trying rush
of existence. Clouds of doubt may darken the horizon
of some of your lives and lead you close to the sloughs
of despondency. We are living in trying times, when
some question the very bulwark of our American form
of government: when clear thinking, honesty and service
to God and Country are needed as they have seldom
been needed before in the history of Ameri:a.
Go forth to meet and conquer in your sphere of life
whatever it may happen to be. Stand for the right, as
you see the right: hold fast to your bouyant faith of youth
"That the clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own-
Livep Iove,' toil with wi1l,'
Wait not for tomorrow,
For the clock may then be still."
