juremurh DOWN through the years there has come to us a rich heritage from our Ger- man forefathers whom we call the Pennsylvania Dutch. They had a hardiness of spirit and determination that enabled them to come to a vast wilderness and build a life rich with color and folklore. Here they worshipped the God they chose and made clear the path that we might worship him freely also. They have passed to us the task to continue as they did in working for what We believe right. It is then fitting that we should base this the record of our high school endeavours on the traditions of these hearty people, and with pleasure we, the class of 1954, present this edition of the Blue and Gold. 2
