V A Message From Our High School Principal YOU, the members of the Class of 1951, are graduating during a period of unrest and uncertainty, This throws much responsibility upon you as indiv- iduals, as well as doubt concerning your future. The question of the day is democracy versus communism. We are fighting to save democracy today just as much as at any time in the past. It is therefore the duty of all good Ameri- cans to take their stand for that which they believe and enact those citizenship duties for which the American education system has prepared them. I am sure all of you will accept the responsibilities placed upon you and do your part faithfully and courageously in defending your country or in civilian employ. Your passing from high school is at a time when opportunities are plentiful for all who wish to further themselves. Many new fields of endeavor are open- ing to those who have ambition and vision. The world of work, however, re- quires sacrifice and persistence if real success is to be achieved. I am sure that the Class of 1951 has just the necessary characteristics to be those worthy citizens of which our country is in much need today.
