WALTER HINKLE IOSEPH MANBECK School Board SCHLIYLKILL HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL extends its gratitude to the Board of School Directors for the numerous facilities which they have provided for the benefit of the students. An agricultural course was begun and a building for the use of the vocational agricultural students was erected. Plans are being made for a cafeteria to be added during the summer. We, who have already enjoyed some of these facilities, know that the future classes will be sincerely apprecia- tive of the progressive steps made through the efforts of Mr. Christman and the school board. 6

A Message From the Supervising Principal IT IS A PLEASURE to make this contribution to the 29th volume of the Blue 6 Gold, product of the Class of 1951. The addition of this yearbook to the archives of the school will be a welcome one. Although this marks the end of your public school career, we trust that it represents only a beginning of an adventure in learning that may continue for a lifetime. On the proscenium in your auditorium is the quotation from Petronius- Education is a treasure and culture never dies. Keep this thought alive in your heart as you march down the corridors of time. Best wishes to you all for a bright, busy and rewarding future -f one that will always be best experienced in a free and liberty-loving America. PAUL S. CHRISTMAN 7
