Luckily we did not lose any but Lester Abel didn't have to finish his last semester because he went to summer school. Our class officers this year were: President-John Brittaing Vice-President-Russell Mooreg Secretary-Betty Kingston: and Treas- urer-Carol Crummett. John Brittain and Jeanie Wills represented our class on the Student Council. We sponsered the Homecoming Dance and Orval Maupin and Betty Kingston were our candidates for king and queen. John Brittain also crowned Orval and Betty as the King and Queen of our 1955 Homecoming. We also sponsered a Christmas Dance and sold pop and candy during football season. Clifton Gibbens, John Brittain and Orval Maupin were on the first five of the varsity basketball team and we are all very proud of them. Colleen Taylor was one of our cheerleaders and she cer- tainly did her part. Our class play was April 9, a comedy called nNo Boys Allowed' and was a good success. Our treasury wasn't too thin at the end of the year so we feel our Senior year wasn't too bad. Now that our pictures are taken, the play and Homecoming are past we are all looking forward to May 18 the date of our graduation. We would like to thank everyone for the help given to us during our High School days and especially to our sponser Mr. McKean. r -1 - , .L '. v , . - L'.v...-fn , -- ,xglxf-,K' .,, M J , ,EV A , , , , iw- 2:1 G -11- '-91 VL -Fm ,un '4 1' W , . Koopman JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY The Junior Class consisting of 27 members since we lost Keith Fillenworth at the beginning of the year, spent most of the year as hard working as beavers trying to make enough money to honor the Seniors at the Junior-Senior Prom. Among the various activi- ties were the Junior Carnival, play, pop and candy stand, selling basketball schedule pencils, Prom, and numerous other activities. Perhaps the hardest job we had this year was waiting for our class rings to arrive. We thought they would never get here. Our class was represented this year in the student council by Douglas Stauffer and Edna Koopman. The class officers were Pres.- Douglas Stauffer, Vice Pres.-Bill Denny, Secretary-Bernice Roth, and Treasurer-Joy Boyle. We have enjoyed being Juniors with all its work as well as pleasures, but we will enjoy even more jumping into that last lap next year as Seniors of Saybrook-Arrowsmith High School. 2061111 Y., ,f ,, Mgr iw.-42 W1-i:5'75 ,- ws .T , .U 4, is 55 f Q 1352 ft iffcd r, 'Q W - FQTW yr , ,,,, WN , s 5...
