Mrs, Anderson Marilyn Hubert Marjorie Grant TOTEM NEWS The Totem Staff was organized by the teachers and the students for 1947-48. Vw'ork soon began to take place and everyone worked hard. Lorraine Kammermann was chosen as Editor again this year. She is doing a splendid job keeping everyone busy. Mrs. Anderson was our advisor. The Seniors were dismissed from school to secure advertisements from sur- rounding towns, Saybrook, Bellflower, Gibson. Colfax, LeRoy. Farmer, City. and Bloomington. Because of the many ads received. our yearbook was thus cut down to a, smaller price. Fine Arts took the group pictures and the Senior pictures. They did a fine job and every one seemed to be well pleased--not because they put some ofthe pictures in the studio window, either. Orders for approximately 85 books have been turned in so far and we expect many more to come in yet. This is due to a large amount of work from the students. We believe we have a successful yearbook for 1947-48. We would like to thank everyone who was responsible for making it successful.

cyfudenf 02172017 Left to Right: Eldon Stauffer. Mary Ann Wills. Dixie Crotinger, Mr. Anderson. Jack McNeilly, Dick Evans, Bob Johnson, Bob Moore. EVENTS The Student Council this year consisted of nine members. Jack McNei11y was Presidentg Dick Evans, Vice-President, and Mary Ann Wills. Secretary and Treasurer. The Student Council was quite active the first semester. VVe decided on vaca- tions for the year and gave classes permission to have parties. We also decided that the students could dance during the lunch hour on Tuesdays and Fridays. Mr. Anderson, our advisor. and a great helper, is very capable and helped us to plan the various activities. It seemed as there were so many activities going on that we didn't get to have our supper this year but we did attend the activities so every one is very well pleased.
