Twelve of this group were students from the Saybrook Public Grade School, and the five new members who joined the class came from various country schools in this community. Vile lost one member during the first semester when Blanche Hart transferred to Lexington High School. Our class officers are, Phillip Robbins, President, Henry Ramsey, Vice-P1'esi- dent, Dick Myers, Secretaryg and Roberta Steed. Treasurer. Delmar Kirkpatrick was elected to the Student Council for the year, and Vvinchell Hall for the first semester. with Nelda Stauffer succeeding him the second semester. Mr. Short was our class ad- visor. In basketball the Freshman class was represented by Dick Myers, Davy Clark, G-ary Garrett, and Delmar Kirkpatrick. Roberta Steed was elected as one of the three S. C. H. S. cheerleaders. All of the Freshmen girls and several of the boys have taken an active part in music, participating in a number of programs this year. There have been so many school activities that we have not had time for any Freshmen parties. However, we have enjoyed several All-School parties, even the one at which the Freshmen were initiated last fall.
