There were nine of us: Darlene Bell, Louise Boyd, Doris Cromer, John Kuta, Freda Smart, Ida Wait, Bob Whaley, Carolyn Wilt, and David Winters. We chose Carolyn Wilt as our class president, John Kuta as vice-president, Ida Wait as secretary-treasurer and Miss Schmidt as our class sponsor. Our Sophomore year found ns allback with the exception of Louise Boyd. We elected the following as class oftieersi President, Freda Smart, Vice- President, Doris Cronerg and Secretary-Treasurer, Ida Wait. We chose Hr. Wagner as our class sponsor. This year we have the sane class members again. John Kata, Bob Whaley, and Darlene Bell were chosen respectively as President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer. Mies Mols vas chosen as sponsor o! our class. Two ot our class members, Ida Wait and John Kuta, participated in the One-Let Play which received a Two rating. nice Humble Ralph Rothman Jerry Larrison Martin Carter eniom 1952-1953 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Three years ago eleven inexperienced Freshmen entered Sawyer High School. They were: Bud Carter, Jerry Carter, Mary De Rome, Janice Humble, Paul Kennedy, Eddie Lambert, Jerry Larrison, Lorraine Rothman, Ralph Rothman, Charles Wait, and Catherine Weems. Miss Phyliss Garrett was chosen as our class sponsor and Bud Carter was our President. All of the members returned for the Sophomore year except Jerry Carter who moved to Oklahoma. Delmar Wilt joined us at the first of the year. Janice Humble was President and Mr. Philip Pestinger was our class sponsor. ' Lorraine Rothman did not return for our Junior year and Delmar Wilt dropped out after a few weeks of school. Miss Nelda Barclay was our class sponsor and Paul Kennedy was our class President. 'The Valley of Ghosts' was the play given by the class. It was given to a full house. The Juniors entertained the Seniors, the Faculty, and the School Board Members at the Junior-Senior Banquet. The theme of the banquet was WStar Dust.' Catherine Weems moved to Collyer for our Senior year leaving us with only eight members in the Senior class. Mr. Wagner was chosen as our class sponsor and Bud Carter our class President. The class was respo sible for'thepublication of 'The Eagle' which is our school yearbook. CLASS HISTORY As green Frsshnm, as we sore called, ve started With eight members, they included Harvey Brewster, Clinton Davis, llorene Lsrrison, Halter Kuta, Charles Svonger, Garry Hess, Howard Hiller, and Donald Fontch. In lovmber, Don Hccain transferred fron Medicine Lodge. Our class president was Garry Hess and our sponsor was Hrs. Catherine Ross. All with the exception of Howard Hiller and Donald Foutch, turned in their enrollnmt cards for this year. This left us with seven lslbers. Lf- ter a fi weeks of school, Charles Svcnger dropped, leaving us with six labors in our class. Horenc Larrison ns elected President, and Harvey Brewster was elected Secretary-Treasurer at our first class nesting ot this year. Hr. lece is our cless sponsor.
