-al,r-- SENIOR CLASS PROPHECI The time is 1973. The Place is at the Annual Alu ni Banquet held in the gym of the Sawyer High School. As we walk in the door, the first person we meet is Jerry Larrison. We ask Jerry what he has been doing the past twenty years. Jerry said that he went to work for Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary at Pratt right after school was out, Jerry now owns this mortuary and says he is feeling mighty low. He cor- dially invites each and every one of us to visit him sometime in the near future. As we sit down at a nearby table who do you think is sitting beside us? It is no other than the great Paul Kennedy. Paul took over the old homestead and is still raising lots of wheat and cattle, We ask Paul if he still has his Ford Con- vertible. Paul said that he was married now and doesn't need it anymore. Just across the table sits Mary De Rome. Mary started to Beauty School but quit after two months. Mary said that she just couldn't stay away from home so she came back and got married. Mary is living happily on a farm with her husband and three children. Mary is now a member of the school board so that she can have her say about the way school is being run. Well, who do we have here but our old friend, Eddie Lambert. Eddie is follow- ing in his father's footsteps. He has taken over the ranch in Barber County. He has finally married his little gal from Pratt and has raised his own ranch hands. We are sure Eddie will be a success because he was so ambitious in high school. As we venture down the table we see Ralph Rothman now owner of acattle ranch in Pratt County. He has made his first million and is working on his second. Ralph raises Black Angus cattle. He says they are the best in the world. Much to our surprise Ralph is still a bachelor. But for how much longer, we don't know. Who shall we find at the end of the table but no other than Janice Humble, the man hater. But we see that she has changed her tune. Through her college education she became a Home Economics teacher and also received her MRS. degree. Farther down the table a pretty blue uniform catches our eye. Well if it's not Charles Wait, who was better known to his classmates as 'Unconstitutiona1 Charleyn. As we learn more about Charles he tells us that he joined the Air Corp when school was out and has made that his career. Charles is now the Greatest General CGeneral Nuisance! in the Air Force. we also learn that Charles has quite a hobby collecting hound dogs, as he always likes to go coyote hunting down in Barber County. At the speaker's table we see Bud Carter who was our Senior Class President back in 1953. He is now President of the Alu ni. Bud said that he has given up altogether on his first million and has started working on his second. He said that if the next big deal comes through he may be President of the General Motors Company. We always thought that Bud would make a good President, someday. The Alumni Banquet is over and we have enjoyed visiting with our old class- mates again. As a whole we think that the class has been a success, which looked very discouraging back in 1953. This page sponsored by: ACKLEY FLORISTS, PRATT, KANSAS
