The four sacred years we have spent within the shelter of her walls, have iieeted by and now they are gone, leaving with us but memories of the past. Though sadly we recollect these happy days, let their memory be a spot ever bright on our pathway of life, When in nineteen hundred and twenty-two we entered Saugerties High School as little freshmen, we did not realize how brief our visit was to be, for the time passed too quickly. We were gay little freshmen and caused a bit of trouble too. As Sopho- mores our lessons became more difficulty we studied harder and harder, until, like a harbinger of joy, came our junior year. This was a happy time in our lives. We were active and gay and made plenty of noise in the halls. Finally we gathered together the remains of a large freshman class and set sail on the shortest voyage of high school life. On this voyage as Seniors we were successful, financially assisted by the funds from our Senior play. We worked with effort and spirit, guided by the good will of our faculty. In spite of many activities and interests during this busy period of life, we have not overlooked the bonds of friendship which this final year has bound more firmly. The friends made during our high school career hold a dear place in our hearts. Since we must submit our history to the keeping of you, dear comrades, we do it with a sincerity and trust that you will ever reserve a place in your hearts for the memory of the class of twenty-six. And, dear fellow students, . Learn to labor and to wait.
