A SMILE, THE WINNING EXPRESSION A myriad of expressions filled the gymnasium as each girl took her walk before the judges. It was clearly visible that the audience thoroughly enjoyed themselves through their smiles and applause. Each girl possessed her own special smile that would hopefully win her the title of one of Satsuma’s beau- ties.
