The band received honor- able mcntion for its marching. The pep band played lor all home games :md assemblies every Friday. At Del Norte they marched in the Seed Show Parade October 23, played for a dedication service, and later played for an exchange assembly. Une of the high-lights ofthe band season was the two-day Valley Band Clinic held at Sargent on January 28 and 29 with Mr. Randall Spicer of Colorado University the guest conductor. The bands last big activity was its participation in the annual spring contest the first week in May. The band ap- preciated the efforts of the band mothers for making money so that there will be new major- Ctte uniforms and new trousers to complete the other members' uniforms.

Some of the favorite songs of the chorus this year were Peter Piper , Kentucky Babe , and The West Wind .
