We played at Center and Del Norte and marched with the Monte Vista Band in Monte Vista. We had our Fall Concert at Sargent which included special numbers by the Saxophone Quartet and the Clarinet Trio. One of the highlights of the band season was the two-day, Valley Band Clinic, which was held at Sargent and included all band members of the valley. Our clinic director was Randall Spicer from Boulder. The band also gave a Spring Contest Concert which featured all numbers to be used in the Contest. Small groups from the band have played for various organizations. The band played at Del Norte in February to promote interest for a Del Norte band. The contest was held in Monte Vista April 16-17, 1948. Pay Iwvnrg-eight
