was afraid that the principal of the school, who was very strict and who didn't like students, might find out about the movie star. The principal did find out, Bud was expelled from school, and his girl friend, who had found out also, was broken hearted. At the end of the play, because of the help of the movie star, Bud was allowed to remain in school and graduate. When the play was over, we had enough money for a five-day trip, beginning April seventh. We took a school bus, driven by Kelly Boyce, and went to Grand Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Bundy went with us as our sponsors. lt was worth our hard work and worry. Since we had only one day at the Canyon, we spent every minute we had enjoying the scenery there. On the way home we visited Arizona's Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. Sunday, April eleventh, we arrived home, a travel-weary group. May seventh the juniors presented the Junior-Senior Banquet and Promenade, our last big event before graduation. The last week of school was the most exciting of our high-school days. On the afternoon of May fourteenth we gave our class-day program. Sunday, May sixteenth, was Baccalaureate, at which Reverend Johnson was the speaker. Last, but by no means least, came Commencement on the evening of May twentieth. Our theme was The Rainbow of Tomorrow. Speakers were chosen from our own class and all the work was done by the class itself. These are only a few of the countless events shared by the Seniors of 48 , but they will be remembered and treasured by all of us. sea-...., . Father Flannagan and the mayor of Boy's Town. 6 .
