CLASS PROPHECY One cold bleak day in December of 1976 I was looking through my rrullxon dollar book collection in my million dollar study hunting for my mlllion dollar book that I had just pubhshed While doing this I ran across my annual of 1956 I picked it up and the pages fell open to the Seniors All of a sudden I became curious as to the whereabouts of my former classmates I picked up the phoneand called Gaylord Bentley my private lawyer and engaged him to locate them and to 1nv1te them to a get together in my m1lhon dollar mansion. Starting at once, Gaylord found B111 Kelly in a tught club in Chicago dining with five beautiful movie stars B111 said that he would indeed come as he loved parues Gaylord then chmbed into his chartered plane and flew to Dallas Texas where he ran across Gary Gibson whom he hardly recognzed because Gary had painted himself black and had been trying to get in with the Harlem Globe Trotters He had always wanted to be another Goose Tatum, He found Joe Green studying Psychiatry at the Columbia University and still threatening to quit When he left from there he Joumeyed to Hawaii where he found Joan Ailshxe sewing like mad to get her grass skirt done in time for the fall festival. While talkmgto Joan Gaylord happened to glance around and saw Loren Walker sitting under a palm tree taking a sxesta without lus shirt wool Wool Gaylord spotted Verlee Russell at the airport and tookher out to dinner much to her husband s disapproval After a hearty dmner and some dancing Gaylord bid farewell to Verlee and caught the tram His next stop was Reno Nevada where he decided that he would try to expand his expense account and while doing so he spotted Dixie Lee Roth in a very low evening gown, but her hair was dyed red instead of black and he was amazed to find that she owned the gambling place he was 1n He went on to Montana where he asked the whereabouts of Lanny Weverka and was informed that he had Joined the Forest Rangers where he could isolate himself on the look out tower Inquirmg further he him good husband material. After flying to Cody Wyoming, he went to a Rent a Car servlce where he found Gary White censored Renting a car from him he set out to explore the oil fields Having a flat tire by an old tar paper shack and needing some help he knocked on the door and was surprised to see a httle tow headed boy that looked exactly hke George Gardner Upon in vestigatxon he fotmd that George and JeanQLongmoreJ hved here with their dozen dnl en George always said they were cheaper by the dozen Finding no more of his old classmates In Wyoming Gaylord decided it was again time to take to the air Driving by the airport Gaylord saw an orange plane with Comstock written on it in yellow letters Sure enough Denny Brass was at the information desk askmg about parking rates Denny informed him that Gaylord Ottun had gone bankrupt raising Nebraska beef and now hved Ln Switzerland where he raised goats Arriving there Mr Bentley set out on skis for Gaylord Ottun s mountain ranch Along the trail he met Carol Gruber and Denms Zurek who were com peting in the winter Olympics Dxshklng the cool mountain weather in the Alps Gaylord returned to California where he was just in time for the prermer of My Last Duchess starring Joyce Brown and co starring Steve Kraus Gaylord found the picture most enjoyable except fora Slight diSturbance Caused by someone crawlmg under the seats in search of their shoe Upon discovering it to be his old class mate Yvonne Young, he returned it along with an invitation to the reumon of the Class of 56 Leaving the picture he met Evelyn Veverka who is now a famous fasluon disigmer and re sponsible for the Duchess s last wardrobe. discovered this was.because he was being searched for by hundreds of women, as they considered

Dixie Lee Roth will my steady diet to Marilyn Sweet. Alan Brown will my starving teen age frame to Maurice Shaffer providing he doesn t partake of the utter bug diet Dennis Zurek will my athletic abihty to Lynn Amos Carol Gruber will my famous walk to Judy James one step at a time Gale Howard will my devotion to S H S faculty to Kenneth Richards Lanny Weverka will my httle black book toJohn Christensen provided he keeps it up to date Denny Brass will my height to Jeanette Gruber provided she doesn t outgrow me Garry Gibson will my unhurried ways to my brother Lonnie providing he takes it easy Bill Kelly will my devilish grin to Clydene Drake Robert Rudloff will my size 13 boots to David Walker provided he thinks he s man enough to fill them. Joyce Catlett will my booklet on parliamentary procedure to next year s Pep Club president. Gary Wlute will my ability to see the bright side of things to Alan McCaslin Loren Walker will my singing abihty to Ronme Decker if he prorruses to whistle. Jack Chaffxn will my innocent expression to Erskine Austin provided he keeps the guilty one well hidden Verlee Russell will my yodehng ability to Dennis Clarke Jean Longmore will my hot lunch Job to Karen Eret providing she watches the faculty debts Yvonne Young, will my abihty to curb my devilish impulses to my brother Bruce who has no control over them.
