BHEHETBQLL The Sargent basket ball squad went through with a very successful season in l9b7-48 winning Zh games and losing H. The Sargent team went to the State again making it two years straight. They were beaten out in the first round by Valley 29-31 in an overtime. The 'MS lettermen are: Duke Chalupa, Loran Swanson, Gordon Patterson, Phil Knight, Jim Jensen, Dean Ash, Don Nelson, Myron Longmore, B111 Town, John Brown, Laverne Brass, Robert Crownover, Hubert Spanel, Soo Smltn. ,Seniors who played their last game for Sargent High are: Gordon Patterson Duke Chalupa, Loran Swanson Jim Jensen, Dean Ash and Myron Longmore Sargent won three Championships and a co championship during their 'MS season TEAMWORK You may think it fine to be praised for skill But a greater thing to do Is to set your mind and set your will On the goal that's just in view It's helolng your fellow man to score When his chances hopeless seem It's forgetting self till the game is o'er And fighting for the team 7 F?
