Love me, love my dog!” is, perhaps, the most identifying statement you will hear from MRS. SALLY GOLDSBERRY, sophomore English teacher. Mrs. Golds-berry, in her first year at SHS, has served as sponsor of the Medical Arts Club. Panhandle A. M. College is where she received her B.A. degree. She attends the Episcopalian Church. MRS. BYDRA KUYKENDALL, president of the high school English teachers of Oklahoma, has taught senior English at SHS for eight years. She received a B.A. degree from Northwestern State College. Mrs. Kuykendall is a sponsor of the senior class and Horizon Club. Her favorite saying is, Anything worth doing at all is worth doing well.” She attends the First Baptist Church. For 17 years MRS. ALBERTA IRVIN has taught in the Sapulpa School System and she is presently teaching sophomore English. She received her M.E. degree from T.U. The Pep Club is fortunate to have her as a sponsor. When not in school, Mrs. Irvin enjoys traveling. Nothing happens unless first a dream. is listed as her favorite saying. Her church preference is Baptist. MISS LAQUETA CLARK, in her first year at SHS, has taught junior English. She received a B.A. degree at Northeastern State College. Miss Clark is a sponsor of the Horizon Club and junior class. Her outside activities include bowling and swimming. Her church affiliation is Catholic. 19

MISS MARGARET HAMILTON, our new speech teacher, has also been very active with debate teams, plays, assembly planning, the Pep Club, and the teacher's bowling league. Miss Hamilton received her B.A. degree at Central State College. Her favorite saying is, What next?” She attends the Methodist Church. English, journalism, physical education, driver education, and athletics are listed as the many subjects and activities instructed by MR. JACK WILLIAMS. Three out of his fifteen years of teaching, Mr. Williams has taught in the Sapul-pa system. He received his M.A. degree from O.S.U. His many school activities include sponsoring the Pow Wow and Drivers’ Club, and coaching baseball and basketball. MRS. ZELMA CARTER, a teacher at SHS for 39 years, teaches Spanish and Latin and sponsors clubs of the same names. Mrs. Carter, more often called Prof” by SHS students, is the director of all school assemblies and a member of the Faculty Council. She enjoys sewing, cooking, and especially traveling. Prof has traveled in Cuba, Canada, Hawaii, eleven countries of Europe, and every state in the U. S., and her future plans include a trip to South America. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She received her M.A. degree from T. U. Language Arts offer enriching curriculum English courses, journalism, speech. Spanish and Latin are all included in the Language Arts department. In these classes individual attention is given to each student to further a better student-teacher relationship and to raise scholastic standard. Newness shines forth from these classrooms as shown in the drama department's new stage equipment and dressing rooms, and especially in the up-to-date foreign language laboratory which includes all the latest recording equipment. From these various classrooms will be found the future speakers, linguists, teachers, and journalists of tomorrow. 18 Prof, and her little Spanish Pilots.

Miss Hilderbrand patiently waits for Tony to get that right answer. Bill I.yda puts Mr. Myles into a state of shock by asking him if he can produce a teacher dissolving formula. Experimentation is key word Retiring after 39 years of teaching, MR. HF.NRY SIMMONS, plans to stay in the profession by doing some substitute teaching in Sapulpa. He will probably spend some time on the local golf course too. During his eight years at SHS Mr. Simmons has taught Algebra I, physics, and Algebra II. Under his leadership the F.T.A. has earned and maintained a high standing among school organizations.' Mr. Simmons is an active lay leader in the First Methodist Church. MISS MARY LOUISF HILDF.RBRAND has taught mathematics at SHS for five years. She received her M.S. degree from Oklahoma State University. The Devotion Club is fortunate in having her as its sponsor. She also is a Sunday School teacher, a member of her church choir, and president of the youth division of the Church of the Naza-rene, where she attends regularly. 20
