E. O. Shaw Superintendent of Schools Let your main objective in life be, to make and keep friends. I often wonder what one would do if he did not have a few friends in reserve for the dark and gloomy hours. To make a friend you must first of all believe in him, recognize his failings and tie to his good traits though his bad traits greatly outnumber his good ones. Cultivate the arts of honesty, fairness, sympathy, reverence, and cheerfulness. To gain a friend is to discover happiness—to keep a friend is to be prepared for heaven. To possess a kindly smile, a cheerful outlook on life, an undying faith in the good intentions of others—though one's heart may be bathed in sorrow and freighted with disappointment—is proof to the world that one is a friend to man. If you would be happy and loved, make friends and keep them. 14 —E. O. SHAW

15 Carl A. Raxsbarger Principal of I Halt School One of the things which brings satisfaction and pride to the individual is the successful accomplishment of an ossigned task. The senior class and their sponsors may justly feel a sense of pride in the successful completion of the 1937 Sapulpan. I congratulate them and express my thanks for this contribution to the student life of Sapulpa High School. High school life is rich in human experiences and friendly associations. The Sapulpan serves as a record of the important aspects of student life and reflects the numerous activities in which our students are engaged. It is my earnest hope and wish that every student may get increasing satisfaction and joy in turning the pages of this volume as the years come and go. —CARLA. RANSBARGER
