The Mood . . Sultan Style cy. THERE WAS LOVE IN THE AIR . . . REBEKAH SPRATLEY. There were a lot of couples on campus, and they weren't just short term romances. There was love in the airf' said senior Re- bekah Spratley. Most of the couples that got together stayed together for a long time to come. The hard-to-get image that the girls usually displayed, and the playboys all went by the way side. There was still a lot of casual flirting going on, but usually the flirting turned into something special. It seemed that everyway you turned while walking through the halls you saw a couple over in the corner, trying to have some priva- At Santana you still had some girls who were swooning over some guy that they thought they could not live another moment without talking to them or even saying And we still had the guys who'd be com- menting on girls as they walked by. When they saw something they liked, you knew it. Nothing usually came out of the swooning, or the commentary, but it was healthy. The couples that we did have here at San- tana were inseparable. They went everywhere together. They were seen from football games to the movies. Their parents probably thought that they were getting to serious for only being teenagers. WHAT DID WE D0 Stay out late, sleep in late, waste a lot of time. Michelle Seelita 2:11 pm. anxious eyes watch the clock as they wait for the final bell to ring. When it does 2200 students race for the door, crowd- ing the halls with flying papers and slamming lockers. It's Friday, the weekend is finally here! Weekends meant a lot of fun times and a little relaxation. When asked what they liked to do on the weekends Santana students top replies were being with their friends, go- ing ont, and sleeping. Senior Michelle Sedita, Weekends theyre great, stay out late, sleep in late and waste a lot of time. Senior Sndi Soens, I keep a pretty busy schedule so the weekend is when I get a chance to do everything that I didn't have time to do dur- ing the week, Many of the lower classmen asked said on weekends they usually go to a friends house, or to the movies. Freshman Chrissie Renyake, The week- end is fun, I go out with my friends and just have a lot of fun! Chrissies pal Brandi Eason on the other hand said she mainly spent her time on the weekends talking on the phone and going to the mall. Obviously everyone had their own thing to do on the weekend. junior Norma Burson said she liked to try and spend time with her family on the week- end since they hardly see one another during the week. It seemed that a popular thing to do was to go to a football game. But what did all these fun-seeking students do after the games? The two best liked activities were going to the dances and going out with friends. lt seemed that no matter what, every- one always enjoyed their weekend. When asked what she liked to do on the weekends and after the games Senior Colleen Yaklin replied, It doesn't matter if I don't do any- thing on the weekend because it's still better than going to school!
