Marissa Hare Kathy Donnellon Robin Merrit Missy Maimone Julie Lyons Keri Allison Teena Glasper Basketball Lettergirls This year is one we will treasure for the rest of our lives. From the day we were elected, last spring, it has been a year of excitement, sadness, frustration and just plain happiness. All summer we worked hard on a routine called “Falling In Love.” which we practiced and perfected for camp competition. Getting up early every morning for 8:00 am practices, we awaited the day of Aug. 1, 1981 to leave for U.S.A. camp. When that time finally came, all seven of us, in matching outfits and punk rock glasses, decorated a van with our lettergirl spirit and departed for the University of Calif., Santa Cruz. At last, we were on our way! We all know that nothing could ever replace the times we had and things we shared. Yelling and screaming, making some of us lose our voices, we came home with a spirit certificate. We shall never forget the fun we had doing “Superfreak” routine, the “Bad Girls” skit, and all piling up with the football lettergirls in one room, the last night of camp. We all got to be so close because of the things we shared. We didn’t want to leave it all, but now it’s passed and still a wonderful memory which is “Better Than Ever!” U.S.A. camp was an experience which we will always cherish. Varsity Basketball Cheerleaders Last year when we found out that five of us would become the squad of the Basketball Cheerleaders, we were happy that it was to be us. During the summer we went to camp U.S.A. at Santa Cruz with the Football Cheerleaders. We worked hard, but it was worth it. We had a lot of determination and succeeded in bringing home four Superior ribbons. In keeping with the tradi- tional S.T. spirit, we also brought home the Spirit Stick. We started the season cheering for cross-country and found ourselves on the sidelines of the basketball court. We had a great year and lots of fun.
