The night before camp, all seven of us slept over at Sherri’s house. We painted signs to show our school spirit, and at 11:00 pm we went to Alpha Beta and bought $35 worth of junk food. We hoped that it would last us the four days of camp. When we got to Santa Cruz, we learned many ex- citing routines, like “Superfreak,” “Give It to Me, Baby,” “Popeye,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” and “Rock It.” The second night, we did a skit with the basketball lettergirls in the Gong Show. On the third night, all fourteen of us slept in one room and pigged out on all the munchies! During each day at camp, we were evaluated on the cheers and routines we learned, and when it came time for the awards, we received a Superior Trophy! Football Lettergirls Spirit

Win- ning that stick really made our year! Promoting spirit and unity have been the goals of our squad this year. The task of boosting spirit in a school like Santa Teresa has become difficult at times because of the large number of activities planned, but we, the 81-82 Song-Girls, have done our best to raise school spirit. We hope, in years to come, Santa Teresa will be on top of the list for enthusiasm, spirit, and school unity! Football Song Girls 82 Spirit
