Students of the World The Students of the World Club is dedicated to the concept of learning about many different cultures. The nembers in this club include both foreign and American students. Mrs. Schwalen is the advisor for this club. I.R.C. Every year the I.R.C. (International Relations Club) participates in a Model United Nations on the U.C. Berkley Campus, and hold their own MUN here at Santa Teresa in November. Officers are: Secretary General — Suyoung Baik, President — Evan Hughes, Vice President — Mike Tomasco, Secretary Treasurer — Jerry Lawson, Executive Assistant — Linda Emmorey. Performing Arts Club The Performing Arts Club’s purpose is to enhance the appreciation of the theatre. This is done by having th members see as many plays as possible. Ms. Mary Romano is the club advisor. Chess Club The Chess Club, a member of the national chess organization, was formed to familiarize students with the rules an strategy of the game. Mandell Secretary: Carla Lamporina Advisor: Warren Brown “Good morning, this is KSTS ..And so a booming voice begins every school day at Santa Teresa. Dedicated to doing the morning an- nouncements, the KSTS Broadcasting Club performs an important service for the Student body. They meet every Friday to schedule the announcers for the following week, and select a program director to coordinate the morning bulletin. Being a member of the KSTS Club is a big responsibility, as announcers must arrive at school a half hour before the first bell, and are held accountable for what is heard over the airwaves. This year, members of the KSTS Club answered phones on the local public television sta- tion, Chanel 54, during their pledge drive. 224 Clubs
