Last year’s production of Bye Bye Birdie and P ay It Again, Sam were tough acts to follow, but the Drama Department did it again this fall with a superb production of Arsenic and Old Lace. Many newcomers graced the ST stage and showed audiences what they were made of, through thick and thin. The fact that Friday night’s performance was cancelled due to heavy rains did not dampen spirits, as the cast and crew bounced back Saturday with a brilliant closing night performance. Arsenic and Old Lace marks director Mary Romano’s seventh production with ST, and assistant director Chery Tells as well as stage managers, Angela D’Agostino and Jennifer Mulcaster, all worked hard behind the “scenes” to ensure a successful play.
