Varsity Baseball The 1982 edition of the varsity baseball team will base its hope of capturing the M.H.A.L. crown on youth. After graduating an all-senior starting team last year, the Saints will rely on catcher Doug Garabito, shortstop Steve Koch, and outfielder Andy Zavodnick. Newcomers to the varsity this year are sophomores Beau Hastings (pitcher), Mark Benevento (first base), Steve Darnell (second base), and Dave McCorkell (pitcher outfielder). The Saints will be an exciting team to watch because of good team speed and solid defense. As always they will be a force to reckon with in the South Division.

Varsity Softball A group of strong newcomers added to a powerful group of returning varsity players seems to be a winning combination for the 1982 Varsity Softball team. The Saints strong defense starts with pitching ace Cheryl Machado, who is backed up by the strong fielding of Trizia Hill, short stop; Debbie Livinggood, third base, and the infield outfield skills of Lisa Ice and Gloriann Neverve. The offense was developed around the consistent hitting of Debbie Livingood, good bunting of Cindy Jackson and Lisa Ice, backed by the power hitting of Cheryl Machado and Trizia Hill.
