Boys’ Frosh-Soph Basketball This year’s Frosh Soph Basketball Team was one of the best in Santa Teresa’s history. They compiled a record of 20 wins against only 4 losses. They won the Piedmont Hills Christmas Tournament and finished second in the 16 team Delmar Classic. Demedric Cooks was named All-Tournament in both events and Kent Whelihan was All-Tournament at Delmar. The team climaxed the season by beating Independence in a playoff for the South Division Championship. The day after the Independence playoff the young Saints lost to Mt. Pleasant for the Mt. Hamilton Championship. Santa Teresa was forced to play the final game without starting guard, Paul Martin and starting forward, Milton Thomas. With 8 of this year’s sophomores moving up, next year, the varsity should have a good chance to win the league. Top Row: Coach Schuster. Larry Luscher. Ron Wilder, Demedric Cooks, Tony Pearl, Kent Whelihan, Todd Abernathy, Gary Peralta. Bottom Row: Lory Ice, Milt Thomas, Marquis Palmer, John Machmiller, Jim Bush, Trent Eves, Paul Martin, Todd Skrabak.
