Varsity Water Polo This year’s Santa Teresa Water Polo Team finished in the top 15 teams of the C.C.S., and the Saints finished third in the very competitive M.H.A.L. with a 7-2 record. The Saints’ main offensive weapon was Eric Weiss, who led the team in scoring. He was selected to receive first team All-League honors and has a good shot at being an All-American. Other players selected to All-League honors include Jeff Norseen, Jamie Lung, Steve Pile, Ben Schultz, and Rick Eoff. Top returnees include Norseen and Eoff, along with Nate Keever, Greg Martinez, and Marc Rascon.

Girls’ Swimming This year’s girls’ swim team completed their best season ever. The girls captured their fourth consecutive M.H.A.L. championship. They also received an oustanding fourth place in C.C.S. The team was lead by junior Debi Von Ruden. She qualified for high school All-American times in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle. The relay team, consisting of freshman Sue Brown and Teri Ellis, sophomore Tobi Kleiner, and junior Andrea Macadaeg, also qualified for a high school All-American time in the 200 yard medley relay. With only two seniors graduating, the team should be just as strong, if not stronger, next year.
