So many gentle friends are near Whom one can scarcely see You should never feel alone Wherever you may be We would like to thank the manage- ment of Frontier Village for the use of their grounds in taking these fan- tastic pictures. Mr. Chapman really enjoyed him- self while these pictures were being shot. Notice the big smiles on his face at the thought of all the girls around him. When we trapped him in the stocks though, he didn't seem quite as happy. On the day these shots were taken it was slightly wot outside, in the form of rain, so the less adventurous of the staff stayed home. 18

J. - Seldom here in body, always here in spirit Beck! - In class she's quiet, but outside she's a riot We, the staff of the compendium, along with our fear- less leader, Mr. Chapman, worked extremely hard at preparing this year's book. We call Mr. Chapman our fearless leader because a man who can take twelve girls with no experience in yearbooks, one boy with a little background, and put out a yearbook like ours must be fearless. After our names are quotes which, to the ma- jority of us, fit our personality and attitude in class. We sincerely hope each one of you will find a special memory in your yearbook and enjoy that memory any time you pick up your book. From your friends of the yearbook, we hope you too had a fantastic year. Next year promises to be even bet- ter. 17
