VARSITY SOCCER In simply looking over our record (2-8-2) one might conclude that the team had a disheartening season. This, however, was not the case. In our 1st contest, the Saints came away with a 3-0 win over Westmont. Val Horvatich, Mike Fox and John Souza played strong on defense. The real highlights came during the final week of the season against Milpitas. Bob Strohmeir finally scored ST's first league goal with ahead shot to the corner of the net. Another goal by Keith Thomas gave the team a 2-0 victor}'. In the final game of the season against arch-rival Oak Grove, we really played well. With everyone coming back the team is looking forward to next season with high hopes.
