The Santa Cruz Valley chapter of the National Honor Society was chartered the second semester of the school year 1952-1953. To qualify for membership in this organization, a student must show qualities of character, scholarship, leadership, and service. They must maintain a 2.0 average for a complete year, and receive a majority vote of the faculty. A member's curriculum must include college preparation subjects and two activities. The new members are given a formal initiation at the beginning of the second semester. 5I 2
