Cruz High has been affected by additional class-room space, and by an increase in the faculty mem- bership. The administrative offices were en- larged and a new Science and Horne Economics building was erected. These are only a few of the various changes that have been made dur- ing the past year at Santa Cruz. As the time progresses, the growth of the school, the addi- tions to the school and the increase in faculty members indicate the interest in education which is prevalent in our society. It is our pleasure to introduce the 1966 Whirlwind to you, and we hope that you will become a part of it. ,.- b ,, L, 4 Y 1 'E5'5E':-Jr-1 17 ikfiizig ' ' 53 ,, 3'i .,iF5l?if' , :nf K1 2 A ' ? 4+'7 z an , . The excellent supervision and guidance given by Mr. Mc- Glynn is a valuable aid to our Library. Through him the librarians learn the techniques of handling a library. Able librarians assist Ernie Castro in finding an interesting book. bl EXPEIZIENCE IN J QM DEVELOPED Intent on their work, members of the Devils Call strive to produce a more interesting paper each time. DEVILS Shirley Deal, Editor, proofreads one of Claire Grieve's stencils. The Devils Call staff this year exhibited endless energy to present to S.C. students a newspaper of high standards. Through this activity they acquire the knowledge to prepare them for future training in journalism. Kennedy did more for develop- ing a physically fit nation than any other president. He was young and vigorous, and could see that a nation of our caliber must have equally strong and healthy citizens. Thus was born the Physical Fitness Program in America. Today, all of our schools try to provide active exercise for strengthening their student's bodies as well as academic courses to enrich their minds. At S. C. two years of physical education is advised, un- less ability to participate is limited. Everyone should take advantage of this program-not only for their own benefit, but also for their Country's.
