Mighty freshman? Not really. . . .only to the WVilson- ettes. YVe were in high school at last and were brusting with pride. It certainly was a thrill. Every freshman must pay the consequences. and our little voices were heard all over the campus: WVhe re is room 5PM 'iHow long do we have for lunch? Can we really leave the campus? The Freshman Reception was a nervous night for us all. Our first high school dance ..... wow! As we enter- ed the door. we were given baby-bottle shaped name- tags, so the older students could tell who the baby freshman were. As if they couldn't tell by the curious expressions on our faces. We left the dance with much pride thanks to Francine Moosg she had won the dance contest. Our first victory? Football season came and so did our cries of: YVe began to feel like a part of the school. NVith every new sports season our spirit grew. ' '66 was a very good year. Y'Ve had experienced so much. To top off the year, we attended our first Nom- ination Convention. 'iWhat's it all about? None of us really knew, but we soon found out. Finally came our first Tocsins. The Tocsin Dance was great and so was the last day of school. YVe had learned many things our first year. but we could not figure out how to cut aclass The Steps Toward Come September and we were back .... this time showing the freshman around. WVe were more ac- quainted with the teachers, and we could even joke around with a few of them. VVe were smart enough to change our bad classes at the begining of the year, in- stead of suffering through a whole semester with a dis- agreeable subject. Everything was going great until the latest rumor came true. Our beautiful school was to be torn down. Our student body was transferred to Buchser's campus. The split session went over pretty good, considering Buchser was our biggest rival. During Buchser week, we were all warned not to tear down any of Buchser's decorations in the halls, but never the less, they came down. Buehseris pride came falling down when we beat them in the big game. and get away with it. 65-66 Class Officers: President - Mike Asch, Vice President - Don Peterson, Sec.-Treas. - Chrisjohnson ..... I 'N I 66-67 Class Officers: President - Don Peterson, Vice President - Chrislohnson, Sec.-Treas. - Vickie Bacon On our return to our campus, we were greeted with. portables and promises of a beautiful new school with- in a' year. It got pretty hectic between classe The at- tendance office hit an all time high with tardy slips. We had a carnival that was just great. Between john D,Ambrosio's pizza stand and DJ. Pifferetti's flower stand, our class ran the carnival. Soon again it was exam time only to followed by a wonderful summer. WVe left happily knowing we were to return as upper cla ssmen.
